My question was, What exactly happens during a solar eclipse? The answer to that question is below:
From the Earth, a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, and the Moon fully or partially covers the Sun as viewed from some location on Earth. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth. At least two, and up to five, solar eclipses occur each year, Not more than two can be total eclipses.Total solar eclipses are very rare at any specific location because it totally exists only along a small path traced by the Moon's umbra.
I have linked a picture because the ones i want cannot be added.

Cycle-2_Week-8
Blogging has improved many aspects of my current education status. I now have the courage and audacity to speak my mind throlugh my words instead of freezing up onstage. I haven't seen my grade, but have that feeling that i did extermely well. I love the commenting system because it tells me what i need to do to improve and be GREAT! I beleive i did the best on Gaming. I love to play the computer and designing is very fun, so i guess combining two of my hobbies made Gaming very easy for me. In the future, i would like to become a lawyer, therfore i will need to blog about different cases and present them to my own firm eventually!

Cycle-2 Week-7
The Persian Gulf-war. This particular oil spill was caused by an group of iraqi soildiers from Kuwaiti, who spilled and approximate amount of 400 million gallons of crude oil into the Arabian Gulf. This eventually caused the largest oil spill ever recorded! This particular spill was located in the Arabian Gulf, as mentioned above. I learned that one, President George h. bush was in office during this spill. Also, that we went to war with iraq(caused oil spill) for an unidentified reason. Here below is a link for my oil spill picture: http://images.ctv.ca/archives/CTVNews/img2/20070929/450_Oil_map_070929.jpg
Cycle-2 Week-6
There are so many different types of eginneers. Some of those certain types resemble construction workers, architects, and definitely desginers. Eginneering influences everything we do. For example, who do you think constructs and or designs the roads and sidewalks we drive/walk on? Obviously eginneers! If i had to choose what type of eginneer i would like to be, i'd choose a designer. Designers get lots of credit for sketching the layout of many famous buildings......Such as, the empire state building for example!!

Cycle 2 Week 5-blogging in schools
Obviously teachers and students are taking advantage of technocology. They have found out many ways to use the internet and blogging and relate it to Science. I personally love Ms.Jenkin's blog! She allows her student to get her advice, help, and insight on many discussions her 4th and 5th graders. I think that instead of having the question parking lot we have on the wall in class, Mrs.Douglas should place it on blogger and allow us to just comment our questions. We can also do something similar on Google Docs. We may allow the whole class to just write in questions. Then either if a teammate or teacher has the answer, they can also write it in.

Cycle 2 Week 5
Technology has always beeen intriging for me. I love the freedom of typing. For me typing helps me express my feelings, without getting nervous while talking face-to-face. Blogging has severely improved my writing skills. I basically am as good as a college student! Blogging definitely helped me on the NJ ASK because i used my learnt skills on the essay portion. Technology also let me find easier ways to chat with peers.

Hooked on Science
My video was about a group of scientist who planned an art event for the middle schoolers. They took up a year planning this event! Hooked on Science is very useful many facts on how science and color relate were hidden in this video. One of the teachers featured in this video says of how he teaches all types of science and thinks art is a major part. Art can be used to display different movements and 3-demensional pictures, when it is too hard to do it mentally. I learned that combining art with science can and has helped many students get a better understanding with different concepts used in class. This reminds me of how shoes can be worn without the shoestrings, but someone combined the string and eventually fixed the crisis of having loose or untight shoes.

Giant Jellyfish Invasion
Wow, A jellyfish invasion coming our way! The author, Ruth Musgrave, had many reasons for writing this article. I think the main idea is to inform other fishermen about the new jellyfish occurences. The text says,"And local fishermen are feeling as if they are under siege." This shows that the author was relating this news to the future and wasn't risking other fishermen being invaded and seized by giant Nomuras jellyfish! This reminds me of how animals hibernate during the winter, knowing there is going to be no food to eat/hunt, therefore the animals stash up on all the food months ahead of time. This shows that Ruth Musgrave, like the hibernating animals, was thinking of the future and outcomes.
I learned many useful facts about jellyfish, and thier sudden interest in fisherman net's. Nomura's are very exalting! Did you know that a baby Nomura can be the size of rice and end the size of a washing machine in a matter of months!? Now that is really cool, also 95% water. Now who'd thought of that? This is all proof and evidence that this article was helpful, shocking, and above interesting!

Cycle2_Week2
If i were to create a game, it would be called,"Freeze, Thermal, Zap". The object of the game is to beat your opponnent's team. Each team is granted 3 powers. Each to either unfreeze a teammate, freeze opponent, or take out a whole team. You may only use your freeze power to freeze your opponent. Once that person is frozen, the other team may zap them, or one of thier teamates will have to use thermal energy to unfreeze them. Zapping is only allowed when the person is frozen. For instance if your avatar is frozen, Deresha's avatar has the oppurtunity to come and zap me out the game. Basically your out until the next round. This game's setting will start out at an simple virtual park. You may buy clothes for your team and unlock a new level once you've beaten the previous. The winner of each level is determined by the team who has zapped out all the players on the opposite team. Each level will have a different challenge. For example, if one team scores a certain amount of points in a row they can get power-ups. Power-ups will allow them to munipilate the other team. They can also un-zap one member from thier team. This game is fun because you have the oppurtunity to play against your classmates and friends. It allows your to use science by when your unfreezing the person. You are using your thermal energy and transfering it to your teammate. Many kids would keep playing this game to show off to thier classmates how far they got in the game. Also, to tell them what level they went up to and thier certain hi8ghscore.

Cycle2_Week-1
I currently play many games. The game i choose to blog about is, Virtual Villagers. This game allows you to manage your own tribe, and control thier every move. Even better, is that the tribe continues to grow even when your computer is off or your simply not playing. The goal is to keep your tribe alive and get tech points to unlock secrets to finding the missing gong pieces. Recently, my tribe died, but i have started a new one and have found 1 missing piece so far and have a population of 10 people! I learned that taking responsibility is hard work. Also, learnt that research and science can lead to discoveries, or in this case more tech points. This game may be used to help students take control over something to prepare them for the future. Also it allows them to see the scientific edge to many games similar to this.
Another great game I play is, Obama Saw. This is a room escape game. This game is based off of the movie "Saw". The object is to save his family with the tools you discover and defeat jigsaw. I've beat this game 3 times and I'm so addicted. This game allows you to find your own clues. Even though thier are hints, you need to use your brain to defeat the mastermind jigsaw. This game can be used to teach kids how to handle being trapped somewhere and trying to use your observations to help you escape. The links to both games are listed below:

Week_6-Reflection
As I review my past blogs, i noticed i have did a great job in explaining. In all my post the main idea is clearly pointed out. As always i do have areas to improve on. I greatly appreciate the kind comments written to me by my peers. They influence me to do better and also, fix my errors so they are better the next time.

Week5_Prompt#1
During thermal expansion, obviously the object's density has to expand. The question is, How? Well, during this process, the object has to be placed in the temperature completely opposite of itself. For example, the cold jar's lid got bigger and allowed the jar to slide open, when placed under hot water. The lid was cold at first but when the hot water was added it expanded, allowing the jar to pop open. So according to my research, the density of a object expands by placing it under the opposite temperature. That explains why the jar lid got bigger when placed under the opposite temperature.

The Design Squad solves many problems. The particular problem they solved in my episode was, they built a sound and light show. It was very difficult because, they had to create 4 sensors. The groups were granted 2 people to help them make the 4 sensors. One of the materials highlighted in thier workshop was a, flexband. The squad uses tons of unique stratagies; Such as, changing the lights colors as the sensor moves as a light switch. They encountered a problem. The want-to-be light switch required these two wires to adjudst at the same level so that they can connect and change the lights. The squad learns that they all work at different paces. Plus they found out that working together is not as easy as it seems. Eventually, they pulled it together and made an amazing show!
If i were in this specific episode, i would have took none of my resources for granted. I would have focused and helped out all my group members. That way we could've had a great show and worked well together also. I learned that any 2 elements can be connected. Just have to put a little effort and knowledge. Also, you can combine two negative things(not people) and make a new combination. Finnally, workiing together gets you places, such as college.

Week3_Prompt#2
The air near the water surface was supposed to gte cooler. According to research, the air cooled down because it was vaporizing. Evaporation is another form of vaporization, and they both also only occur on the suface of an liquid. So as said in the prompt, the water near the surface, cooled down simply because it was vaporizing. Another reason the water could have cooled is because the pressure surronding it cause the water to evaporate faster. Which thren causes the air and water to create a fast breeze of cool air. Those are the results of my research.

Shout out to Ms.douglas
Dear Ms.douglas,
i think you deserve recgonition for your hardwork in trying to make us scientists. Even though we sometimes don't do our assigned work, you always put up with it! Thank-you and i will encourage my teammates to do better.
Love,

Week2_Prompt#3
The energy in that soup may cause it to overflow. Simply because you might've left the boiling pot on too high. For example, the soup may be going through thermal expansion, but of course we don't know so we leave the water on. Let's say when we come back it overflooded. As i said the expansion plus temperature of the water met. So therefore they did both expand and rise the temperature to where it overflows.

Week1_prompt #3
The sound that was produced by that car was actually harmul. The radiation from the heat could have interfered with the sound energy. Also who knows what could've happenned to our ozone layer since it is already being destroyed. I beleive basically that this sound is harmful according to my research..

science
I am not a complete fan of science, but I like it. It requires a lot of debating skills which I like. It encourages you to open up topics you would've never thought about, such as technology. I hope this unit goes well!
